Three jobs that get called a redesign
- Design only. New layouts for desktop and mobile, with no development: a landing page from $1,200, a multi-page website from $2,500.
- Design plus a rebuild on a new platform. When a redesign also moves the site to Webflow, a migration typically costs US$1,500–4,500. New Zealand clients are quoted NZ$2,500–7,000, with no GST added.
- One page redesigned inside the site you already run. For Dawsongroup TCS we redesigned and rebuilt only the New Zealand homepage, in Elementor inside its existing WordPress multisite. The project was quoted at a fixed price and delivered within it, before the deadline.
What moves the price
- Page count. Every unique page layout is design work.
- Content complexity. Product ranges, case studies, listings and long service pages take longer to structure than a short brochure page.
- Revision rounds. The number of rounds scoped into a phase is part of the price.
- For a migration: CMS complexity, redirects and how much of the job is a redesign rather than a faithful rebuild of the old pages.
Protecting what the old site already earned
A redesign that changes addresses can lose the search visibility the old pages built, so URL mapping and 301 redirects belong in the migration scope. On A1 Sure Services, an Auckland arborist's move from WordPress to Webflow, all 155 blog posts kept their original URLs, every retired page was redirected by one of 34 verified 301 rules, and the final crawl found no broken links.
A smaller first step
For New Zealand clients, phase 1 can be a design concept on its own: your homepage or landing page for desktop and mobile, one round of revisions, ready in 5 working days. It is a flat NZ$700, with no GST added, and you pay only if you like it. Then you decide whether we build the rest.
How you pay and what you keep
Projects run in fixed-price phases with no deposit; you pay at the end of a phase, once it works. Every design file and asset from a phase you have paid for is yours, free to hand to another team. See how we work.
