Webflow or WordPress for a business website in 2026?

Choose Webflow when

• The site is new and a non-technical team will publish pages, case studies and posts.
• You want custom layouts and motion without stacking page-builder plugins.
• Nobody wants to own plugin, theme and security updates.

Choose WordPress when

• The site already runs on it, works and your team knows it.
• You need a plugin, such as a CRM, booking or listings feed, that only exists for WordPress.
• You need a campaign or section, not a new website. For Vines Estate we built a full landing page as one module inside the developer's existing Divi site instead of replatforming.
• Someone owns maintenance: updates, backups and a regular check that the forms still deliver.

Where WordPress needs attention

A theme, page builder, form plugin and mail setup are maintained separately, and one can break another without a visible error. On Trivelle Gardens we found an enquiry form rejecting every submission while visitors saw nothing wrong. It is fixable, and we fix it in WordPress support, as we did for Dalley Sundar, but it is a standing cost in time.

Moving from one to the other

Moving only pays off if the move is careful. For A1 Sure Services all 155 posts kept their URLs on the way from WordPress to Webflow, every retired page got one of 34 verified 301s, and the launch had no broken links. Do not replatform in the middle of a campaign if the current site works.
